Welcome to the Sherwood Forest Mounted Archers. We are a club dedicated to the sport of Mounted Archery. Our members represent all ages, riding styles and skill levels. Whether you are looking to compete internationally or just have fun, we welcome you.

About

Sherwood Forest Mounted Archers is based in Newberg, OR. We are a small, friendly group who gets together a few times a month to ride horses and shoot things. We utilize a variety of barns in the area. We like to play games and keep things interesting.

Probably the number one questions we get about mounted archery is what kind of equipment do I need and where do I get it? There are a lot of options to help you get started with only minimal investment. A basic horse bow and a dozen arrows are all you need.

Equipment

Activities

We offer a variety of club activities. We typically meet on the first and third Sundays of the month to practice. We also host clinics several times a year. We regularly offer ranking opportunities, postal matches and demonstrations throughout the year.
